Leah Gruenig, ADM, USA
Leah Gruenig is the Director of Sensory Science for ADM. An experienced sensory science leader with over 30 years working in the food industry building sensory teams and programs. She has collaborated with Marketing, Product Development, Quality, and other cross-functional partners to design product tests that better understand the sensory impact of product or package changes to existing products or champion the utilization of sensory learning to enable bigger ideas when creating new products.
Leah has an M.S. in Food Science & Nutrition with a Sensory emphasis from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is well-known in the industry as an invited speaker and award recipient for the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), as the past Chair for IFT's Sensory & Consumer Sciences division, and as the author of chapters in two books: 'Product Innovation Toolbox: A Field Guide to Consumer Understanding and Research' in 2012 and ‘Distilled Spirits’ in 2022.
