ECR Program

Pangborn 2025 is pleased to provide additional opportunities for presentation of research and networking for professionals at an early career stage* throughout the conference. Contributions from ECRs will be highlighted in each session and ECR-specific activities are organized by our ECR chairs, Dr. Sara Spinelli and Dr. Jake Lahne.

This is an excellent opportunity for early career researchers to gain experience, develop knowledge, discover methods, get inspired, and build sensory networks among peers.

To be considered for the ECR program check the box in the abstract submission form and include a brief response why you believe you qualify as an ECR. All abstracts will be undergo the normal review process and there will be no “higher bar” or other negative consequence to identifying as an ECR. Anyone who does not qualify as an ECR will be included in the normal review pool.

*An early career researcher (ECR) is defined as conducting research supervised by an academic or line manager, e.g. undergraduate student, graduate student, PhD candidate, early stage post-doc or equivalent in industry.
