Neith Araceli Pacheco López

Neith holds a PhD in Macromolecular Materials from Claude Bernard University in France, as well as a PhD and a Master's degree in Biotechnology, and a Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering from UAM-Iztapalapa. She is a senior researcher and a Level II member of the National System of Researchers in Mexico. In 2025, she received an Honorable Mention for the "Dr. Alfonso Larqué Saavedra" Science, Technology, Innovation, and Partnership Award. Her research focuses on food quality and safety through the development of chromatographic and spectrometric techniques, the utilization of agricultural and seafood by-products to obtain functional biomolecules, and the design of micro- and nano-encapsulation systems for food applications. She has an extensive track record in scientific outreach and community engagement.
