Carlos Gómez–Corona, Firmenich, France
Carlos Gómez–Corona is Director of Consumer Research & Sensory at dsm-firmenich. His main responsibilities are to understand human perception of food products, savory flavors and ingredients. He leads the global sensory strategy for the Taste division. He has conducted research in the academia and industry, as well as teaching in the area of sensory and consumer science. His publications focus on consumption experience, product perception and representation, and social responsibility. He obtained his master’s degree in Sensory & Consumer Research from the University of Burgundy, followed by a PhD in Consumer Research. Awarded with the Rose Marie Pangborn Sensory Science Scholarship in 2014; is now part of the editorial board of Food Research International, and Food Quality and Preference. Since 2020 he serves as the chairman of the Sensometrics Society, and secretary of European Sensory Network since 2024.
