Laura García Treviño, Sigma Alimentos, México

Laura leads the Global Sensory Department at Sigma Alimentos, where she drives the company’s global sensory strategy. A Food Scientist by training, she spent 14 years in R&D across processed meats, prepared meals, and frozen foods, followed by 21 years in Sensory and Consumer Insights leadership. She has led global strategic sensory projects supporting R&D across Mexico, the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, and has helped establish sensory guidelines used in production plants worldwide for product quality control. Her work spans advanced statistics, AI-enabled integration of Consumer Insights with Technical Sensory, and neurosensory research to understand the relationship between product attributes and consumer emotions.
