Amanda Dupas de Matos

Amanda Dupas de Matos is a Senior Researcher at Massey University Feast Laboratory, New Zealand, specialising in sensory and consumer science, with over 10 years of experience in consumer-centric research across a broad range of product categories. Her work focuses on cultural differences, consumer preferences, and emotional responses to food and beverages. In addition to her academic research, Amanda works closely with industry partners to address key challenges and generate insights that support strategic and evidence-based decision-making. Amanda, originally from Brazil, lived in Italy for nearly five years, where she completed her PhD at University of Padua, her Postdoc at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, and obtained her Wine Sommelier certification. She is passionate about advancing innovation and strengthening connections across research, industry, and education spheres.
