John Castura, Research Fellow at Compusense Inc., conducts research in sensometrics and sensory and consumer test methods. This work has led to 45+ peer-reviewed publications, 5+ book chapters, 130+ scientific presentations, and 25+ tutorials. John holds a Dr. Philos. in sensometrics (NMBU, Norway) and an M.Sc. in applied statistics (University of Guelph, Canada), serves on the Food Quality and Preference Editorial Board, and is a past chair and vice-chair of the Sensometric Society. He contributes to international standards related to sensory and consumer testing, sensory claim substantiation, market research, and food loss and waste.
