Iván Méndez

Iván Méndez, a Sensory scientist with a Food Engineer from Universidad Simón Bolivar (Mexico) background and a Master’s degree from the UFePel (Brazil). With over 30 years of experience, he is a senior consultant in sensory methodologies and applied statistical analysis, focusing on product development, quality control, innovation, and consumer research. Founder and CEO of MBSense and the current President of the Mexican Association of Sensory and Consumer Science (AMCSC).

He has been a dedicated professor at the "Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México" (UNAM) for over 18 years. He is also the host of the interview series "Diálogos Sensoriales", a platform dedicated to sharing knowledge from global sensory experts. His academic contributions include publications in Food Quality and Preference and participation in developing manuals for ASTM International.
